The procession paused for a moment to enable the rear guard to catch up. Here at the top of a small rise, a group of women, members of a charitable society of Jerusalem risk arrest by weeping and crying out to Jesus. Stilling their voices with his raised arm, the Savior now speaks out for the last time and prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem and the killing of its people in 70 AD. The women are frightened and filled with despair.
